PERAYA PARTY: A Party to Remember

THE ANNOUNCEMENT

Unexpected. Out of blue. Unlooked for. Those are the exact words and phrases that could describe the 22 seconds duration clip of the #PerayaProject2019 announcement which was dropped by GMMTV on the 22nd of May 2019 on their Twitter account. The clip was tweeted along with a message to all PERAYA telling the fans to anticipate a LIVE with KristSingto via GMMTV official FB/ YT channels which were scheduled to air 3 days later; 25th May 2019 at 6PM (BKK time).

Hell breaks loose. The timeline moving at breakneck speed that you won’t be able to keep up should you blink your eyes or take a breather. Every fan was expressing their excitement at the announcement. With all of the excitement 2 years ago, on May 25th, Peraya Project 2019 was revealed and one out of four projects announced was PERAYA PARTY, The 1st Fan Meeting in Thailand.

Everything happened in a flash. After the LIVE announcement; on the 28th May 2019, GMMTV announced the perks and the ticket sale which was commenced its selling on 31st May 2019 via thaiticketmajor.com. During the final week of May 2019, the fandom was literally overwhelmed by announcements, one after another every 3 days time.

THE WAR

Sold out within minutes. One day event turned two. The tickets for PERAYA PARTY were sold in 5 categories, starting at 7500baht for VVIP, 5000baht for VIP, and the other 3 categories were sold at 3500baht, 2500baht, and 1000baht respectively. The fandom described the ticket sale for PERAYA PARTY as war and true enough, the tickets were sold out in 3 minutes. Some made it through the war and some were not. Fortunately, GMMTV announced Day 2 and so, PERAYA PARTY, The 1st Fan Meeting in Thailand became a 2 days event that happened on July 6th and 7th, 2019.

THE PARTY

The party was expected to start at 2PM nonetheless, the fans started to flock to the venue, Central Plaza Chaengwattana as early as around 9AM. Fans came from near and far, most were bringing giveaways to be given out. Everyone was excited to meet the boys with all the pent-up emotions of missing Krist-Singto.

Just as their previous fan meetings abroad a few times prior, the content for PERAYA Party was similar. There was singing, dancing, games with some lucky fans, and the boys having fun on the stage, reminiscing their days and their journey in the industry. However, for those who had attended their fan meetings a few times, one could sense the difference in the vibe alone. The entire setting was adorned with magnificent lighting and sound systems, and everyone present in the hall could feel the adrenaline rush in their veins the moment the lights were out.

The show started with PERAYA Party VTR which received a loud scream from the crowd. The party was hosted by Khun Leo and Khun Wave. Krist-Singto performed the same games and performed a similar playlist for both of the days. They sang more than 10 songs for each day of the PERAYA Party. Having said that, each day gave 2 different surprises.

During PERAYA Party Day 1, the fans were shown with a VTR where Krist-Singto was asked about their family. The next session after the VTR was unexpected by most of the fans when Krist was appearing on the stage with his father, performing a duet and next Singto was appearing on the floor singing to his father. Not only the boys but everyone in the hall tearing up at the heartwarming sight.

A different VTR was shown on Day 2 and the boys were asked about their idol. Though a few might already could sense what would happen next, Krist-Singto still managed to surprise their fans. Singto appeared stunningly on the stage singing a song from one of his idols, Palmy. It took fans by surprise when Gam Wichayanee, came into sight gorgeously singing the next verse of the song. Their magnificent and mindblown vocal duet continued with Krist singing solo to his favourite band, POTATO band’s song with overflowing energy. His energetic performance turned into a duet when Pup POTATO’s husky voice blasted throughout the hall. His appearance giving a deafening scream from the crowd.

Splendid performances with spectacular stage arrangements with one good sound system, would still incomplete without one perfect wardrobe. Kudos to Khun Arm Weerayut, the boys that day were clad with astonishing garments. Each piece worn by Krist-Singto during PERAYA Party was designed and customized by Arm himself, from the material selection and clothes changing during the event were handled by him. Every design, color, and accessories were carefully chosen to suit the theme and Krist-Singto respectively. This enhanced the impact of the entire show altogether.

The 2 days event, 2 years ago went by smoothly imprinted one of the best memories in everyone’s heart before the world was hit by the pandemic. The situation might be tough for everyone for the past year but though we can’t promise a forever, we promise that we’ll be there for U for as long as we could.
